We have already asked about the massacres and the silence of the police from the Minister of the Interior, he remained silent.

In social networks around the world, a million reposts of videos and photos show how animals are rescued from the rubble along with people in Turkey, while in Tajikistan, at this time, the feed is full of photos of cruelly mutilated or killed animals.
At the same time, those who could stop these outrages turn a blind eye to all this and show indifference.
Killed shepherd dog and set fire to kitten
The other day, a photo of a shepherd dog, which was shot dead in the parking lot of the airport in Dushanbe, spread around social networks. Such another cruelty to animals outraged users, because the dog was also nursing.
“It happened in the morning. The dog was killed and was lying in the airport parking lot,” said Berta Nurova, the mother of the girl who discovered the bloodied shepherd. “While the daughter was trying to do something, the dog had already been taken away and was not even allowed to bury. DEU employees. They first kill animals on the streets, and then they go and collect them in their small truck.”
According to Berta, she has repeatedly rescued her yard dogs “from the paws” of the DEU, while the department’s employees say that the shooting is carried out at the direction of the management and because of complaints from residents.
A few days later, animal rights activists published a photo of a kitten whose hind legs were worn to the ground. After examining the veterinarian, it turned out that the animal was set on fire. Traces of burnt flesh were found on the paws. The tail of the animal could not be saved – it went to the spine.
Animal rights activists, tired of crying out to law enforcement agencies and city authorities about this, each time ask to respond to the help of another animal mutilated by people.
“Lord, people, what is happening to you? Why are you torturing poor, innocent animals like that?! How many more dogs and cats must be tortured to stop all this?” Farishta Khaidarova, a volunteer animal rights activist from Dushanbe, wrote. , attaching a photo of a wounded kitten to the post.
Ignore and unanswered questions
Meanwhile, at the February 15 press conference of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, the Asia-Plus journalist raised the issue of homeless animals.
She turned to the head of the department, Ramazon Rakhimzoda, with the question why the police, in particular the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dushanbe, do not respond to such cases?
He was asked about the number of cases of murder and cruelty to animals in 2022, and whether these cases were investigated?
“Last year, only Asia-Plus applied several times to the ministry and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dushanbe with a request to comment on such cases. We also requested to open an investigation into especially cruel cases. Why was there no reaction? Not a single comment?” she asked. journalist.
The Minister did not give any answer to this question, but asked some subordinate to voice the statistics of cases related to cruelty to animals.
“Last year, 17 cases were considered in such cases, protocols were drawn up on all of them and submitted to the court,” the latter’s meager response followed.
Questions about what exactly these cases were, and what punishment followed in relation to the perpetrators, were ignored by the minister.
And after the question whether the internal affairs officers were aware of the latest atrocity – the murder of a shepherd dog in the area of a crowded airport in the daytime, the same employee completely handed over the microphone for further questions from journalists on other topics …
Another reality
Meanwhile, the international media are publishing stories of four-legged heroes who, along with rescuers, are looking for survivors under the rubble of the earthquake in Turkey. Also, along with people, rescuers rescue animals, showing them no less attention and care.
The total number of dogs working in the disaster-stricken Turkish provinces cannot be calculated. Together with rescuers, dozens of countries specially trained to search for animals were sent. And some tailed search engines have already managed to become famous for their exploits.
Here are just a few examples of how dogs show great dedication and work with the same enthusiasm as people.
A photo of a dog that cut its paws with pieces of glass, but still continued to work, spread all over the Internet.
The veterinarian on site treated the dog, and she continued to search. Thus, the dog worked for five days and saved several people. The dog was given stitches, treated and bandaged wounds.
He did not stop searching after he hurt his paw and a brave Korean dog named Tobaeki.
The search engine Labrador managed to become a hero not only among the locals, but also in his homeland, in South Korea. The photo of a dog with an injured front leg and continuing to search touched the hearts of many people.
Korean activists even organized a campaign in support of Tobaeki, demanding to urgently provide the four-legged rescuer with the necessary protective equipment.
The rescue operation in Turkey involved even domestic dogs that do not have the appropriate skills.
So, the hunting dog Alex, together with his owner, rescued people who suffered in Malatya. The man himself became a victim of the earthquake, but was quickly able to get out of the rubble with his family.
He returned to his hometown with his dog and asked to volunteer, explaining that his dog had an overdeveloped sense of smell. As it turned out, the dog Alex is able to find living and already dead people: having found a living one, he barks, a dead one, sits down and waits.
And the dog Venus of a pocket breed saved her mistress in Khatai. After both of them were under the rubble, the dog began to bark loudly and, thus, drew attention to itself.
Soon the rescuers got both the animal and the woman. Together, Venus and her mistress spent 103 hours under the rubble, but managed to wait for rescue.
The story of a search dog from Mexico received a sad end. German Shepherd named Proteo died during rescue work. Her coach announced the death of her partner.
The circumstances of Proteo’s death have not been released. Presumably, he died under the rubble, working under the ruins of a destroyed building.
The trainer deeply mourned his friend’s death, posting a video of him and calling him “a strong and hardworking dog who never gave up.
“Please bring him to Mexico. Don’t leave him in Turkey. You must bring him home to give him a ceremony worthy of a good soldier. Do your best to bring him. They are heroes and should be honored,” several people wrote . moved by this news.
