KUWAIT: The Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum Madi Al-Khamis stressed the role of the Arab media in defeating slander and exposing the lies promoted by the media machine of the occupying Zionist entity and the West and falsehood being practiced against the Palestinians.
In a statement to KUNA following the conclusion of the 9th session of the Arab Media Leaders Forum on Thursday to discuss ways to respond to the false Zionist entity narrative regarding the aggression on the Gaza Strip, Al-Khamis underlined the importance of the Arab media and said it has a positive role in conveying the correct and unerring media message not only to the Arab world but to the Western world and all the countries across the world to make clear that there are Palestinian victims and children who pay the price and a people who are being killed, displaced, and exposed to the ugliest crimes.
He stressed that the inhumane crime of the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people is “heinous and comprehensive,” calling for the importance of the media in confronting the false Zionist entity allegations through a strong Arab media by supporting the oppressed in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Khamis pointed out that the Zionist entity attacks on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip has left thousands of martyrs and wounded, and millions were affected and exposed to bombing and abuse, in addition to the destruction of the Palestinian infrastructure.
In response to a question about the recommendations of the forum, Al-Khamis said: The recommendations of the Arab Media Leaders Forum in its 9th session, “It will be drafted and will be submitted to the higher authorities, the Arab Council of Ministers, and to the various media institutions. He added that these authorities, through the recommendations of the forum, will develop a real vision on how to address the deficiencies of the Arab media in confronting the Zionist entity and Western occupation media, and circulate that message to all the various media institutions.” —KUNA
