The Kuwaiti Government Communication Center has announced the Kuwait Visa app will be launched soon to regulate the entry of workers into Kuwait.
This step came under the directives of Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The application aims to avoid forgery and fight visa trafficking, as well as limit the entry of those wanted by courts, the center added.
The center also announced the launch of a smart Employment ID by the Public Authority of Manpower, to protect Kuwaiti families from loose laborers.
The smart Employment ID will include the worker’s official information, including their legal status, work permit data, and data on whether the worker is on a government contract or in the private sector.
The smart ID, which will be accessed through the Kuwait Mobile ID (Hawiyati) app, can enable Kuwaiti families to view the data of the workers before allowing them to carry out any work inside their homes.
The government has not disclosed the date when the new moves will come into effect.
